FMCW RADAR

Frequency modulated continuous wave radars are especially useful for short range distance measurement and remote probing of materials (e.g. level sensors, ground-penetrating radar, proximity detectors, through-wall probing, etc.).   The main system blocks consist of a chirp generator (usually a synthesized oscillator), amplifiers, mixers, antenna.  When coupled with sophisticated DSP techniques, advanced functions like target recognition, clutter reduction and Doppler extraction can be readily implemented. 

We have developed FMCW radars for various applications from S-band to Ka-band, some directly integrated with antenna arrays.  Wideband systems in C and X band provide centimeter range resolution.  Both monostatic and bistatic are possible, depending on the application.  Send us your requirements.
